About Me

Hi, I'm Celesta Lee. I am a native of East Tennessee where I reside in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

I started my career in insurance marketing and spent 15 years recruiting sales agents, creating contracts, policies, marketing brochures, and transcribing administrative correspondence, just to name a few of my responsibilities.

When the insurance business sold, my partner and I ventured out into business for ourselves. This led to a

 successful 30-year career in the home maintenance service business. I believe our honesty and dedication helped us maintain many of the same customers for over 25 years.

At this time, we have now moved into the retirement phase of our lives.

With careful consideration, I decided to start my own home-based business doing transcript proofreading and specializing for court reporters. 

I have completed the Certificate of Excellence in both transcript proofreading and general proofreading from the rigorous courses through Proofread Anywhere. I have also accomplished the Certificate in Editing from Poynter/ACES. 

My transcript proofreading is based on the teaching of Margie Wakeman Wells, a court reporter instructor and author of Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation, The Gregg Reference Manual, the Chicago Manual of Style, and the Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary.
